Gay is Bad… Unless it has a beat!

It’s very hard to live in the world we live in today. There are tons of mixed feelings, thoughts, and emotions towards groups of people who are different that what we’d consider “the norm.” Why can we laugh at the fat person on family guy, and not say the same joke right to them? Wh
y can we watch an entire comedy that focuses on nothing but homosexuality, yet wouldn’t tolerate it if it were seen in real life?
Kate Perry has a new song out. It’s called I Kissed a Girl and I Liked It. If you haven’t heard it yet, I’d be surprised. Somehow we are constantly making a mokery of gays, ushering homosexuality out of our lives, trying to push it out of the way with a 10 foot long stick, yet we manage to take a song about just how much being involved in homosexual acts is great and bring it to the number one download on iTunes, and the numbmer one on many other playlists. Does anybody see the irony?
I have nothing wrong with homosexuality. It’s lovely, do your thing, I couldn’t care less. But the fact that you people are listening to this song, some of the biggest homophobics I know are listening to it, makes me sick. Don’t you realize how hypocritical it is that you listen to a song about how lovely it is to kiss another person of the same sex, and then go do some gay bashing?
I’ve been meaning to get that off of my mind. Thanks for listening.
