Ooo Shiny!

I have some shnazzy new updates for you guys. These are more feature updates than anything else… Go and add a comment and you can test em out for yourself. Adding comments is overall quicker and much easier. Using AJAX, your comment is added without the page even being reloaded. Upsides to this is the speed and overall better looks this offers. Downside is that if you left a comment and sat on the page for an hour before adding another, it is possible that a comment was added in between your first and second… Hopefully you have better things to do than stare at this site for too much time…

The second nice feature is that after you do add your comment, you can now edit it! This is great if you make any mistakes or come up with an even more smart ass remark, don’t ya think? You will only have 5 minutes to edit your comment before it is un-editable. You are allowed to edit anything in the comment, as well as a URL, but are not allowed to change your email or name. (Why would you need to, right?)

I hope you’re enjoying these new features! Drop a comment or two and test em out/praise what a great job I’m doing… Whatever, right. ;) More cool things on the way, catch you guys later.

Already an EDIT: Looks like that “add-comment-without-reloading” feature has one issue. It will do that automatically only when there is already a comment before it. Shucks. Oh well, good ol’ F5 and you’ll see your comment. (Props if you’re first btw ;) )

Teeny Little Updates.

Very quick updates here… There is a Fav Icon now, check your bookmarks and up in the address bar… Just a simple DK since nothing else really fits there. -.- I also added a little logo for anyone who goes to add the RSS Feed… Pretty shnazy so far eh? Well there’s one more thing! Go add Damien’s Portal as a bookmark on your home screen on your iPod Touch or iPhone and you’ll notice a nice little custom icon for Damien’s Portal. ;) Go check it out, you’ll like it, trust me.

By the way, don’t be shy guys, comments are open! Leave your mark! :) More updates on the way, hold on tight.

Blaze Media Pro Multimedia Software

Finding good video editing software can be a pain. I know, I sell computers for a living. Even I have trouble deciding what is good, what has the better features, yata yata yata, the list goes on. But I think I found a pretty good solution to all that. I bumped into a piece of software called Blaze Media Pro Multimedia on PayPerPost that does a TON of things, including the ability to convert DVD to WAV, conversion, ripping, editing, recording, burning, playback, and much more! To top it off, it’s all at a very reasonable price, just about the norm for any good media software. Check it out! For more information, visit their website!

It’s Raining!

Oh I lovvvvve the rain! Today is a nice rainy day, all day has been nothing but rain rain and more rain. Let’s see. Unbelievably, I woke up at like 1:30 today… PM. Pretty crazy, I know I know… Didn’t do very much all day. Went window shopping at Mic Mac Mall. Got bored there and headed to the Halifax Shopping Centre. Nothing to crazy at either place to be honest. I need some clothes for back to school and a few places had some pretty nice things, but nothing OOO and AHH if you know what I’m saying…

Right now I am trying to decide whether to watch Hellboy 2 or more of Third Watch… I’ve been watching Third Watch every night for the past week so I think Hellboy 2 it is… I have to get to bed early! Work tomorrow, YIKES! First real shift since I got back from vacation… I personally don’t think I’m ready :P I don’t remember how to sell computers… Shoot. Okay, well that’s about it for now. Ta Ta til next time!

EDIT: Wow. Hellboy 2 looks DUMB. After watching the first 5 minutes I have to turn it off. Third Watch it is!
